Sports is so often used as a metaphor for life. We’ve all heard the lessons about personal sacrifice through the lens of winning the big game. But since sports are all about keeping score, it’s not very often that we hear stories about personal sacrifice in the name of someone else winning. And just like in real life, those stories, where people are motivated by the success of others, are much more inspiring. Why? Because when we are looking out for other people, there’s a chance that everybody can win.
