In 2009 the 350.org campaign inspired a Global Day of Action, which featured 5200 climate change demonstrations in 181 countries. And CNN called it the ‘most widespread day of political action in the planet’s history.’ This year, on 10/10/10, 350.org got busy organizing a Work Party, where people across the world would show our leaders what it looks like to roll up your sleeves and get to work on addressing climate change. Now the results are in, and they are impressive.
Last week, 7347 events in 188 countries organized millions of people to work on the climate crisis. People joined together to dig community gardens, install solar panels, plant trees and lots more. Take a look at this summary video of the action, and then follow 350.org’s suggested next steps.
