Life as a Customer of ‘Food, Inc.’

In 2009 the documentary Food, Inc. was released to widely appreciative critical audience, receiving a 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes and 80/100 on Metacritic (both average ratings across reviewers). The film, produced by the same company who made Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth, examines corporate farming in the United States, concluding that agribusiness produces food that is unhealthy in way that is abusive of animals and environmentally-harmful. Food, Inc. is narrated by Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser (who wrote Fast Food Nation), two heavyweights of the healthy, organic food movement – and they make sure that you’ll never look at your grocery store the same way again. Take a peek at the trailer below, or you can stream the entire movie for free here.
