Free Range Studios is arguably the most successful producer of socially conscious web content. Their first break through success, back in 2003, was a 4 minute animated spoof of the Matrix, called… The Meatrix, which in the wise words of Moopheus is “the story we tell ourselves about where our meat and animal products come from”. The huge following and acclaim of this video also led to the Meatrix II: Revolting, the Meatrix 2.5, and even versions of the original Meatrix in French and Portuguese.
